The video above takes you through unboxing the Tuft & Needle foam mattress – pretty easy process, but some people get concerned when they see the mattress come out of the box very compressed. You can see that the mattress decompresses very quickly, and can be slept on comfortably almost immediately (though it will get slightly more comfortable after a day or two).
The main thing people are concerned about is off gassing – which is the chemical smell that memory foam mattresses have shortly after decompressing. This should go away within 24-48 hours, but you may want to take extra precautions if you have a very sensitive nose.
